RESET Stewardship Campaign - 2022

November 1, 2022

Dear Beloved Community

During the past 3 weeks, our church has heard about God’s generosity and our response as we experience a stewardship program based on our own commitment to RESET. You’ll be hearing still more about the program in worship, in the newsletter, and on our website.

As Culver-Palms United Methodist Church faithfully follows God’s call toward life-changing mission and ministry, God continues to open new doors for us. And with your help, our church family will walk in faith through those doors. This year we are asking as part of our pledge that we RESET our commitment to our Membership Vows of committing our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness. Your pledge card will reflect that commitment by giving you the opportunity to not only pledge your financial gifts, but your gifts of time, service, and prayers.

For your consideration, I’m enclosing two items: a commitment chart showing income levels and a range of percentage giving for you to think about and discuss, including the 10% tithe and beyond; and a pledge card on which, after prayerful consideration, you can write and turn in your pledge of financial gifts and time as part of the stewardship program. For the next 2 weeks, I invite you to pray on your response and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance on how you will respond with your gifts in this season of RESET.

Between now and November 13, 2022, I invite you to pray and ask the Holy Spirit for guidance in this season of RESET. Please pray about your response and your giving, both in time and financial gifts. Talk about your goals for generosity and take a moment to reflect upon what offering you plan to give to God through our church in the coming year. Filling out this card also helps our church consider its mission and ministry for the coming year. We attempt to be excellent stewards of God’s resources, and knowing what goals for giving members have set for the coming year is an important piece of information. We are asking that you bring or mail your card to the church office or fill it out online by November 6, 2022. You also can submit your pledge online at www.CulverPalmsUMC.org. You can enroll by clicking on the Pledge 2022 button at the top. You can also give online and set up a recurring gift. Just mark it as "Pledge" in the purpose to count it towards your commitment.

We move forward in faith, knowing that God will work in and through us, regardless of circumstances, as we serve with the poor, our community, and make disciples locally and throughout the world.

In service to Christ, through service WITH others,

Rev. Lisa Fitzpatrick
